March begins spring soon

Ellen Grace Olinger
March begins spring soon

winter garden
and birds who stay
cardinal on the cedar fence

Bible on my shelf
a ribbon holds my place
in the Psalms

so many ways
to say thank you
snowdrops

all the ways
light flows through
days, seasons, years
gratitude and love
in my heart

older vision
grateful for my chair
by a sunny window

winter winds
I wonder how many storms
the spruce tree has known
clouds and sky
spruce tree branches
as still as a painting

That I may publish
with the voice of thanksgiving,
and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Psalm 26: 7 (KJV)

many roads
I no longer travel
more poems in the garden
than I could ever write

November sunroom
orange lilies from a store
in the blue vase
