Ellen Grace Olinger

predawn
and watching
the sky grow light
gift of another day
to read and write

new time to learn
though many years here
grateful to grow older
blessings for all generations
we all grow together

clouds and sky
spruce tree branches still
reading poems
that offer hope
and rest

rain
brown green gold
gardens
first and last
to bloom
in our gardens
snowdrops and
goldenrod
pumpkins
at the stores
summer days
go by and fall
is near

Poems From Oostburg, Wisconsin

poem or photo
perhaps a painting
flowers in the wind

morning
kitchen, prayer
and poetry
the light
is different now

August afternoon
time I know well
gardens, months,
seasons, years

growing older
goldenrod and roses
refreshed by rain
Poem from 2010.
